the 7th in the Wildflower series...for Ellie

____________________________________________________
The days are long and hard to bear,
without my lovely wildflower there,

the wind blows cold upon my breast,
the lonely nights are void of rest,

oh, how I pray for your return,
this heart for you alone does yearn,

too long now since your last goodbye,
these saddened eyes are seldom dry,

these arms ache so for your embrace,
I thurst to gaze upon your face,

to see that sweet forgiving smile,
and know that you will stay a while,

and share with me that special gift,
the fire that sets my mind adrift,

all that I own I’d give it’s true,
to spend just one more day with you,

so hear this sigh the wind has kissed,
and know that you are sorely missed.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

I really like this poem. Sadly someone is much missed, but what a lovely way of putting it into words.
