Come Back to Donegal I set my dreams a-sail today, To reach an island far away, Where shamrocks grow and hills so fair, Are greener there than anywhere. I walked the Irish countryside. I shared their laughter and their pride. I let the hours work their wiles And warmed my heart on Irish smiles. But all too soon, I had to come Back to this port I started from. Still, in my ears, faint voices call, Come back, come back to Donegal!
