Halloween The night is filled with eerie sound, As though strange creatures are around And while unseen, I'm sure these things Have clacking beaks and flapping wings. I'm very glad that I'm inside. At least I have a place to hide. I think I'll lie awake all night, Because I can't turn out the light. What was that? I heard a bump! How it made my poor heart thump! Now it's still as it can be. Thanks everyone for commenting. When I was young and going trick or treating, it was in Canada and all we ever got was apples. Far healthier but not nearly as enjoyable! Betty Lou Hebert |
