Green Glade To Heaven

A trodden parting in the glade,
a path to the garden of sun.
An elegant teardrop cascade,
where fresh fountain waters run.
Buds like beads of pearl and gold,
trail over the trellis and up walls.
Tiny creatures scurry bold,
bee's to the honeysuckle are called.
Oriental bamboo and roses,
fill the senses and stroke the soul.
Scent of summer fills our noses,
walls of peace surround us all.
A tepid air neath shade of tree,
softens the heart and cools the mind.
The kiss of sweet serenity,
purchases a memory for future to find.
Alas the sunlight fades with hours,
forever was but a serenade.
The danger of night replaces flowers,
walking back through the shadows of theglade.
