Promises are roses blooming too fast.
Expanding quickly but never growing,
causing it's victim to be overcast.
The rose's sorrow is never showing.

Love is my weakness arriving too late.
It passes the roses, ignores the sky,
willing to come in but evaporates.
The rose's victim is starting to cry.

Fall breaks the roses - they're unwanted dead.
They sky is crying - washes them away.
The victim is angry she was misled.
Love evaporates, it's not here to stay.

Love with thy heart for it longs to last,
just like the roses blooming too fast.
**My first sonnet - written without iambic pentameter**

"I'm just me, trapped in a body."

What a wonderful "First Sonnet". Very well done!
