A CUP OF SUNSHINE Fill a cup with sunshine Then sip this bubbly brew. The luster keeps on shining From dawn through daytime, too. The warmth brings lots of laughter. The air is light and gay, And the thoughts are ever after As bright as sunshine’s ray. Then the cup is ever filling, And the world is glazed in gold. It comes from drinking sunshine As it tightens up its hold. The lively skip of sunlight With its power to delight Dusts everything with radiance In it’s fancy fashion flight. No more nightly doldrums Where skies are void of blue Just the merry step of sunshine As it tip toes daily through. Barb Gedman |
