The Stars Stand Watch

Along the road, the willows grow.
Now touched by moonlit frost, they glow
And other shrubs, all rimed with white,
Add icy beauty to the night.
Among the trees, the mists arise
To drift like smoke into the skies
And only stars, a-blaze on high,
Stand watch to see me passing by.

The frozen fields that stretch around,
Are not disturbed by any sound,
Except the crunch of boot in snow
And high above, the mountains show
Their frigid faces, bleached and bare.
A frozen wilderness lies there!

When winter first began to creep
And ushered in hibernal sleep,
I made a promise I now keep,
That on a clear and moon-blessed night,
I'd take a walk to see the sight
Of my small world in black and white!

Look what I've built, it shines so beautifully now watch as it destroys me."

(smiles) Yay! Awwwwwwwww, this is such a beautiful crystalline landscape you painted, sweet friend, yay, I love the moonlight radiating against the snow and how it turns the wilderness into a crystal cave, yay, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Betty, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Noah:  Thanks for your comments.  As beautiful as the snowy countryside is both day and night, I am fast approaching a point, where I wish it would go away!
