in midwinters touch the memory
of the wheatfield féte.
winged eel fingerling remember him?
shining in the
window at virginia woolf,
long waves crest
on the endless beach. grey clouds
in filigree fingers, blue mist moves
along the coast. was it grey,
galleons, ghosts,
or red herrings in the sunset?
