I sit by the window and look outside
Waiting for the FedEx guy to arrive
Did he crash?
Did he die?
Did something happen to the FedEx guy?
I hear a truck, is that him?
No wait, that's just my friend Jim
I look at the clock and sit and wait
This package I have, it's so great
Waiting is impossible, I can't sit still
Wait, I hear soemthing over the hill
Is that him? Yes it is!
But why did he go by my house with a whizz?
Where ever he went, he's gone now
I'll sit back down and scratch my brow
Each time I hear a car the suspense rises
For the FedEx guy brings such suprises
A FedEx guy is more than just a guy
He's got the power to make people cry
Cry when their package arrives broken
But brings joy even though words are unspoken
He should've been here, where is he?
Maybe he feel and broke his knee?
I hope my package arrives in one peice
My boredom is starting to increase
I guess I could go get the mail
It'll kill time like a snail
I open up the door and what do I see?
A FedEx package that's just for me!

I am always excited to see UPS or FedEx arrive even when I know I am expecting something boring, cause one never knows when it just may be a wonderful surprise instead

is it here yet, is it here yet?  familiar sounds from the past when my children were young.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

When I lived overseas, I seldom got letters from my family- and when I did, I was so excited that I would hug the mailman with great enthusiasm (I dont think he knew what had hit him!) so yeah, know the feeling, and you conveyed it so well!.
