Something new came to me
though at first i knew not its heart
yet it held in it familiar stuffs
and now with it I cannot part

She is a woman fair and bold
like heroic women of anicent old
who in the stories often told
fall for men unlikely....

Now I am unlikely sad but true
and like so many , even you
I've endeavored often late
to make within my heart...good fate

yet this time when i tried I failed
not because i  young manly male
faltered in my steps of three
but because work was done for me

she came to me with one small plea
love me BEST, love JUST ME
everything else my heart attends
but i will not be a ' kissing friend '

what could I do? what could i say?
what would drive her or make her stay?
i felt my heart and heard my mind
they moved as one, with NEED, in time

" I love you , have for years '
i said and though it caused her fear
' I love you now, I love you BEST '
and partially her fears addressed

" You love me now, but will you when?"
" Time will prove me kissing friend "
" I'll not take that so  do not lie "
" I love you..just love ME "

I smiled at her, because I knew
that I loved her, she loved me too
pledged my heart and love through Time
and found my Destiny turned on a dime

to be continued....

" and I dream of her always,
even when I don't dream.
her name's on my tongue
and her blood's in my stream."

I know its been awhile and my skills are off....hopefully i'll get back up to speed...but today..I had to write *G*

" and I dream of her always,
even when I don't dream.
her name's on my tongue
and her blood's in my stream."

I liked this poem.  At least someone is having luck in love.  Good write.  hope to see more.

"Ain't Got no quarrels with God, ain't got no time to grow old.  Lord knows I'm weak, won't somebody get me off of this reef"
