Golden Twilight Hours There's a golden glow this evening And I see so many sights, I can tuck away in memory To review on winter nights. With the window panes reflecting All the glory from the skies, I'm surrounded by bright colors As the light intensifies. The air is warm and heavy with The scent of many flowers. Each fragrance is so pleasing and Enhances twilight hours. How I hate to see it dwindle And the shadows deepen till I can spy a star that's shining, Like a beacon o'er the hill. Still I linger in the darkness And I listen to the sounds Of small creatures of the nighttime, When their hidden life abounds!
