The sun, a bright, yellow blaze.
The sky, of palest blue.
Soon a soft carpet of green will lay.
Replacing dead with life anew.

Winter worn branches, starting to leaf,
As birds hop upon each limb.
Spring's voice stirs seeds that still sleep.
The bubbling brook filled to its brim.

As Earth wakes from Winter's sleep,
Nature's own begin to stir.
Slowly awakening, they begin to creep,
Beckoned by Spring's sweet lure.

As all do heed her soft call,
Life takes on new form.
Preparing now for the coming Fall,
So by Winter's return, we can be warm.

I like your poem to Spring.  The daffodils and other flowers are blooming here but now and then we still get an icy wind that tells us winter is still hanging around.  Joyce

Very descriptive poetry. You describe nature so very well here and I do so look forward to all the warm and newness and greenery of spring of which you have written. Such a cheery uplifting poem... Good job.

CHILI~
Tee-Hee .... glad your name isn't 'chilly'~
This lovely writing has the fresh warm breath of Spring all over it~

Today in Florida, it was a beautiful, warm and toasty 88 ... sure hoping we don't get a late exhaled breath from the North Wind~

Beautiful imagery in your piece~
