This gray and misty winters morn,
the trees are leafless stanchions.
Thoughts of Faeries are Summers Song,
yet my heart their enchantment felt.
Just a twinge of mystic wonder,
as gossamer and soft of wing.
With my childs eye a glimpse
of soft a glow and fluttered wing,
there upon the winters snow,
their playful laughter and Faerie song,
beckoning my winters heart,
to lift in joyful wonderment.

So I left behind all worry of the day
and joined their merry little dance,
and drank their nectar sweet.

Thus a gift they gave to me.
to pass this Winters hour.
In my heart this enchantment felt.
will last till Faeries Summers Song.

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Only you dear Ellie could find fairies in February and rain.  But you are a child at heart.  Love, Joyce

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

This is so lovely. I read something like this and wish I had such talent.
