Where the Sea Grass Grows

I am lonely for the ocean
And the sea gull's strident cry.
For the foggy morns and evenings
That inflame the western sky.
For the salty winds and breakers
And the ocean's constant roar
As it rushes in and crashes
On the cliffs along the shore.

I am longing for the beaches,
We can walk along and see
All the strange and briny treasures
That are left for you and me.
I can see us there together,
As we were so long ago
And the waves, our names are calling,
Where the long, sea grasses grow!

This is lovely Trillium, and makes me long for summertime. Chris

This is beautiful.  I have never spent much of my time around the ocean, even though I am not too far from it now.  Joyce

Joyce:  Thanks.  I have always loved the ocean, especially the Oregon coast and try to go for a visit every year.  don't always make it, but it's even better the next time I make it there.

Wow! This is brilliant! Yeah, I love the ocean too. It's nicer on a not-so-windy day though, otherwise my hair blows in my face, hehe..

I really really like this Trillium
It's going in my library

Lynne:  Thanks so much and I'm flattered you are keeping it.  We usually go to the Oregon Coast and it's always windy there! I'm sure your beaches are much warmer!
