Blue ghosts
and flowing orange invitations;
their passions enflaming wood behind glass
as they seduce
and make love to each other,
in and out of pine.
Teasing, touching,
consuming –
wooden loins crumble
and shiver,
and leave quivering ashes
to sleep.

(Wow, it's been a while since I posted a new poem.. I miss this place!!!)

Hope to spend more time here these hols,
Luv - Lynne

Hey Lynne, that one took my breath away.... I could see it fuzzy at first.... but then, I found myself being drawn to the fire, sit right up close on that comfy woven mat and push a stick with fluffy sugar attached thru the opening in the glass and roast it over the flame. Warming on a cold winter day.  Do you suppose you'll be serving hot chocolate later?  I might stick around here a while.

Great Read!!!

Lynne, I found myself staring right into those romantic flames. In looking I saw love and closeness, soft kisses and cuddles. Romance at it's sweetest.

Loved this piece!  expertly written. I can feel your passion. Bravo!

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Thank you, you 3!! Wow, this feels so great that you appreciate this.. this is a poem I've been meaning to write for a long time, because I've always loved the excitement of the flames, but have never quite been abe to say it the way I wanted to until recently. ^^

Love to all
