Morning Sings Me
~*Marge Tindal*~

Morning sings me ... then it flings me
into waves of wide-awake
All God's creatures breathing notes
of gentle morning quake~

Red robin on the woodpile
at the edge of the forest in song
Squirrels in chattered scamper
invite me to come along~

Tiny tufts on wings-in-fluff
bid me pass their way
In cacophony of symphony
they orchestrate my day~

Joyous emote on morning note
awakens me in sing-a-long tune
Richly blessed am I
to awaken each morn so soon~

This dawning of nature-in-rise
blinks the sleepy from my eyes
All of the rapture that morning brings
catches me in fling of sing~

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Dear Marge:  I love this poem!  I get up at 5:00 a.m. every morning, (although I sometimes do go back to bed for awhile) and in the spring and summer, this is what that time of morning is like.  You have captured it perfectly!

This is a morning song beyond compare! I want to slip into the picture and experience all the joys of nature of which you so richly sang!

Marge,I guess I never thought of this before; there must be a difference between waking up in the city and waking up in the country. It sounds as if you live in the latter.I remember how nice it used to be to wake up to the soft sounds of nature and you put it so nicely here.Hate to say it,but I'm not much of a morning person now...must be the city craziness. It was nice to wake up to this this morning, though.

Ah Marge .... up with the birds and all of nature on the rise of early dawn ... you've captured this beautifully.  Wonderful flow and internal rhymes, very much enjoyed this morning treasure!

Best wishes,

Well, sweet friend, I found you.
This is so sweet. I love the morning, too. God made such a beautiful world, with all His creatures, didn't He?
Thanks, Marge, for sharing your beautiful poetry with us.
