Indian Summer
The garden glory
in fullest bloom.
Soon
days or weeks,
deep frost.
Stealing gardens breath
into a deep winters sleep.
yet
ever awake
ever a smile
upon the joyful faces
of Winter Pansies.
Smiling through the snow
and Winter chill.
Constant
promise of Spring.

such a warm and delicate refrain...thank you for the smile today...

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

love this
I just planted a bunch of flowers for my sweetie and it sure makes me smile everytime I open the door.
Pansies have the sweetest faces.
This time of year is so bittersweet.
