Ttraffic runs up and down
the street.
Each one wonders who
they might meet.
Each one searching they
know not what for.
But searching...
that is for sure.
Wondering if there
are familiar faces.
Or only those that do
show familiar traces.
So many that are
at a loss.
So many unknowingly
pay the cost.
The crimes for
which they are charged,
Really don't seem
so very large.
Yet when they are
all combined,
It's more then enough to
blow the mind.

CHILI:  I Like your poem.  It fits right in with some thoughts I had yesterday, while waiting at a traffic light.......for ages it seemed.  Where do all those cars come from and where are they going and why?

Hey,Kathy,I really liked this a lot.It reminds me of a song that Barbra Streisand sang on her "Superman" album entitled,
"Love Comes From The Most Unexpected Places".
Ever heard it?It is so sad and beautiful. There is a line that goes;"Alone again,I search the street of unrelated faces
where strangers look the other way, they're so afraid my smile might say,"Come in...
and take the Love that you can find...".
Anyway, this poem shows how observant you are.Nicely done!

Peace,Geoffrey

dear CHILI,
who hasn't, who has lived in a big city, thought those same things?
Annika!
