Oh how our wo  R  ld was shaken
By violence p  E  ace was taken
Shattering so  M  any dear folk
By some under  E  vils ill yoke
Trying to dis  M  ember our way
Of freedom we  B  ehold and see
And free trad  E  bold industry
A shocking de  R  ision and aim
Sadistic numb  I  ng us to maim
Rabid in biti  N  g as mad dogs
And so fellin  G  as dying logs

Let no bitter  N  ess so detail
Cause us in m  I  ssion to fail
Deter-minatio  N  greater shown
Than whatever  E  vils be known

Keeping our l  O  ve not hatred
Our motivatio  N  in what we do
By faith unse  E  n thus in God

Guiding us as  O  nes so sought
As a great la  N  d our liberty
Humbled peopl  E  yet e'er free

Bless you, David, for this creative tribute ...You said all that needs to be said as we remember that terrible day ...Hugs, Ellie

Not only are you a poet---you're an artist!
The visual had tremendous impact and the words were so cleverly woven into the body of this fine piece of writing.

What excellent workmanship, David...
the words, the meaning, the arrangement
(which must have been a difficult task!)...
This is a real treasure!
