Just as you were so prevalent,
now you seem so nonchalant,
How can one change their demise
or was it just a disguise?
That you prepared for a surprise!
Oh how nonchalant not at all gallant,
As one may think.

Disguised with such charm,
you hit me like a bomb
out of the dark fallen sky.
How very nonchalant of you.
If for not else but spite
to see you yet another day
and I may give you the biggest smile
just the same as you gave me
behind the nonchalant mask
Then as I turn away and take off my veil
I'll never ever tell
that it was you that tossed away
the ever graceful jewel.

People do seem so casual when they cause others such pain, don't they? You have expressed that very nicely.

I'm leaving the cat a note
Quick call me a ferry boat-getting out of town!

thx Elizabeth, I guess sometimes we all act nonchalantly.  I myself tend to be that way for no reason but to engulf myself into a stupor I suppose. thx for you kind words
