                What I heard

The sun showed strong I closed my eyes
And in the lights demise,
Heard the whispering in the breeze,
Gossiping of the trees.

The leaves drummed sound upon the limbs
Rustling like a hymn.
Fell in faint and fluttering flight,
Settling down in the night.

Never a sound sounded so sweet,
Those leaves beneath my feet.
Never a carpets softer floor,
Waited the fall of more.

And passions crowned this hem of green,
This green on brown serene.
With never a more fluid bind,
Then moved my primal mind.

The sun showed strong I closed my eyes
And in the darkness optimized.

"optimized"...as did my eyes...
as they took in the beauty
found in this jewel of a poem
perfect Sy, and as always...
the rhyme is as smooth a butter.

Our optimistic optimizer optimizes well... now, as my granddaughter would say, "book it!"
