If you would let me
I could make your dreams come true
If you would allow it to be
I could show you the love you never knew
~*~
I could warm your soul
Like the sun on a cool day
I would empower you to be whole
While in my arms you lay
~*~
I would show you the beauty
That lies within you
I would make it my loving duty
To be everything for you
~*~
I would show you the magical touch
Of a velveteen embrace
Give you what you've wanted so much
All your pain I’d erase
~*~
If you would let your guard down
Unlock your heart’s bolted door
I’d remove fear’s thorny crown
While filling you sweetly to the core
~*~
I’d awaken you like flowers in spring bloom
Bring you the moon that once was to far
Show you there's beauty where the shadows loom
I'd be the wish you made upon the falling star
~*~
Your Wants would become my Desire
Your Needs would become my Song
Each step taking you higher
Showing you in my arms is where you belong
~*~
If you would only allow me
I'd be your everything and more
Please Love... listen to my plea
Come to me and unlock the door
~*~

Butterfly, this one in my eyes is the best I have read
All of your poetry seems to captivate my heart
And my mind just wanders to another place and time
Lovely

Butterflies, this is gorgeous with lovely sentiments.     Definitely deserves another read.

My dear friend! I have to agree with Janet about the love poems, your work is proof of your talent in that area.   This is simply beautiful!
