To stay these hands that race full speed
on cycles that demand
attention to their every need
despite one's best layed plans

Outside our sphere of influence
lay vast eternal oceans
Implied , I fear my confidence
lay past my pen's emotion

The words inscribed a diatribe
a litany whose scope
belies not one iota
of my most fervent hope

That though this race must still be run
with harnessed light from setting sun
I may complete what has begun
and wrest from hands of time

Enough of life both bland and sweet
that I may stand as one replete
with the knowledge I have met defeat
at no-ones hands but mine

Hmmmm... dear Doctor Moose, did you not know that those hands are not yours, hoofs being more your speed.  However, despite this slight oversight your view of the human condition is a jewel to behold.  Thank you for look.

..... I read this about six or seven times to capture its full flavor... really tasty. I bow to you and yours.

Masterfully crafted, Doc.
