Deepest dark secrets,  whispered in my ear...
the numbness creeps in-come, my dear;
awake the first sharp thrill of fear
mad,wild laughter,  ringing clear...
come, my sweetest, here-come near
hide behind the velvet night
submit to chilling cold's sharp bite
enveloped by its flowing dark...
thick like honey,black as death
danger, with each silent breath,
draws closer, and a single tear
slides down one cheek, but none to hear
and none to see, the silent screams of pain
in psychedelic dreams
the broken, shattered mind is lost,
and only thoughts of death adhere
all else blocked out by blinding pain,
and only thoughts of death remain...

Pyro, this was a clear look at the thoughts of a depressed soul. Thank you for sharing.

quite the vivid picture you paint. i know these scenes all too well. if this is autobiographical, i hope this doesn't last long, as these feelings tend to do. good luck, and welcome to Passions.

i hope your stay is long and comfortable =)

Very well done.  This should be posted in Dark Passions - perhaps you will visit and take up a seat and stay a while...

Looking forward to seeing more.

Welcome to passoins Pyro... sheesh, I know exactly what this poem is expressing... I am feeling pretty down myself lately... this poem expresses a lot of what I'm feeling... thanks for posting it, I really enjoyed the read.

Interesting writing, Pyro, and an intensely emotive piece. Welcome, please share more.

Depression runs deep, you explained it well.  I hope in your writing it doesn't stay in your heart.
