I was lost when not embraced by your arms
you stole my heart with your charms
I never knew how deeply I had fallen in love
until I hit the bottom.

laughing, crying, flying along with you
our love thicker than glue
Beg you on my knees
claw at your door
Look at me baby, tell me you don't want me any more.

Advice from the gods
go for gold
thrown away what I was told
Laydown the rules
born to be true
I want you.

Planets turn, worlds collide
we fought side by side
looking forward
feeling free
you are my oak tree.

"I never knew how deeply I had fallen in love until I hit bottom"...this is so true, Rich. Expressed very clearly.

I'm leaving the cat a note
Quick call me a ferry boat-getting out of town!

You've done a very good job of expressing your feelings of lost love. As it happens to so many, you didn't realize it was there until it was gone. Very sad, but know that there are a lot of people in the same boat.

~This poem struck a chord in me,...for relating just isn't the word.  Well written expression. Thank you for sharing. *Peace.
