A heart of stone that cannot bleed Or one that soars an eagles flight. The choice is mine to make. I can go through life untouched by love And never feel that lonely ache But would that truly be life Or just a reflection in a muddy puddle A dim and murky shadow of what could be. Or I can chance the pain of sunburnt wings To bask in the warmth of a lovers caress To see my love in their eyes. Knowing there will be pain Knowing my heart will bleed But knowing its worth that sun splashed kiss So a heart that cant bleed? Or one that can soar? I'll take all the sun splashed kisses I can get because the thrill of them cannot be denied. To lose out on that feeling would be to lose out on life itself. I agree with you wholeheartedly, soar!! Excellent poem I enjoyed every thought. |
