So much I need to give
Love from deep within
Emotions higher than the sky
take flight from in my soul
and I lose all control

One look from his clear blue eyes
A lazor beam to my heart
tears well up inside
and spill from my eyes
Not tears of sadness, oh no!
but love and ardent desire

One touch of his hand
and fire burns in my heart
It heats from inside out
until my flesh is hot

This desire and love I feel
he understands not
How my soul yearns for his
to connect with the deepest kiss
Yet even though
he understands not, my yearning
I love him all the more

I will forever wait
and love him everyday
someday, I'll hear him say
He needs and wants me too
In the same way that I do.

Thank you so much Mark and Melissa.  I am really new to this and I don't know how to use this site very well. I will enjoy discovering everything that is here. I have finally found a place where I can express all I feel with others who feel the same. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

I enjoyed reading this as I have recently experienced many of the same feelings and desires...I know when someone says they will wait forever surely they must have found their soulmate but perhaps the soulmate has not found them yet.
I have found the one that I think is my soulmate and I sure as heck wish she would find me...it may sound funny but I will not wait forever for her...but I will wait a reasonable period of time...it is not that she is not worth waiting for...it is only the thought that perhaps she is right and I am wrong...maybe she knows that I am not her soulmate...so why wait a lifetime if I have chosen the wrong one?  I think about this kind of stuff a lot...Take care...James

These are some powerful images you have working!  To feel with that intensity and not have it readily returned is heartwrenching.
Welcome to Passions!  If all of your poetry affects me as this has, I am in for a good ride!
