Call Me Mr. Fitness

I'm a fanatic for exercise,
Especially for muscle groups
Involved in masticating beef
Or sippng savory soups.

The jaw, the tongue, the palate
Need several workouts every day.
To give them less would be neglect,
Then what a price I'd pay.

My esophagus would atrophy.
Digestive tracts would narrow.
My gut would hardly hold the fare
Of an undernourished sparrow.

And so I dedicate myself
To keeping these parts fit.
Lead me to the food and watch me
Make an exercise of it.
