Sometimes I sing, Like a mad woman rambling In the raindropped caress Of an empty southern sky. Though the beauty is mysterious And grand in its fashion, The Mississippi summer Is still solitary for me, While I'm here And my closest friends, Too far away. Putting forth my cries In desperate words, Only to hear them echo, Back to me Across the expanse, Of green that so dominates the world In more promising seasons. Too proud to ask for a small token Of worth.. To stubborn and self conscious, To be optimistic. Self pitying you ask? Perhaps.. But don't I deserve it? Probably not.. But do I care? At this very moment do I care, That the raspy voice of unreason, Has seized my being, And is shaking the gratitude, Of being alive right out of me? I confess that I do not care. Its as if sometimes, I'm in a room... Or a sea of words, Casting my line in, And getting that false moment, Of exhilaration, At having snagged something, Then realizing, That I've only caught, Foul and sunken waste.. The trash that gets in the way. It doesn't matter though. Upon catching anything, No one would be there to see it. Unnoticed... Forgotten.. Void... Useless. Angry tears. I'm contentedly fed up, And expasperated. Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau" |

Isn't it funny how sometimes you thoughts just keep going and going when you are alone? Keep thinking, you may think it out. jamie..ps had to come back and say, your are in the right place to make you feel better. There are some warm caring people here.
