Hopefully this is a worthy tribute to someone that I truly look up to though he passed away 12 days before I was borne...

It was twenty years ago today
That John Lennon's soul was sent on its way
On a cold, December night
Through the realms of heaven and hell
And when the trigger was pulled
It pierced the angel's ears like an uncontrollable bell
So tell me now how does he get through the night?
Does he still see the finger holding the trigger tight
I wonder each and every night
Yet I'm sure he holds each and everyone that he loves tight and whispers that he's alright
As he shines upon them and everyone else in the world with his radiating love
For his body might be forever gone
But he will never be done singing his song
For his soul will always shine on like the moon, the stars and the sun...

This was such a great tribute to a wonderful man. It was written very well, and I'm glad I got a chance to read it.

Hey, this was great.  I was raised as a Beatles fan, so I can at least understand what you're talking about here.  When did he die again?  Anyway, great poem, I'm sure he'd like it, keep it up

This is a lovely tribute Ceinwyn ... indeed, it was a sad day when the music stopped. He was a wonderful and creative artist ... very nicely written!

Best wishes,

IMAGINE that......

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them!
