Wrong Again Mr. Spider:

Laying here weaving a mesh of webs.
Living the spider's life.
Consuming up time.
Killing all I see for food,
And weak enough to be
Brushed away by a human hand.

Falling to the ground
With a sense of amazement.
Lower and lower.
Faster and faster,
And suddenly when I hit
The bottom soil, I smile.

Nothing can get worse!
I'm safe to go on with more webs!
I take one octa-step,
And suddenly a shadow from
Above crushes my body.
I was wrong, it did get worse. Bloody shoe!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them!

I took this poem in two ways.  First, the literal way, a spider being killed, which I found funny in my own twisted little way   The second was a deeper look with symbolism and all of that great stuff.  Thinking life's fine than suddenly a tragedy when you least expect it.  I'm not quite sure the way you meant for us to take this one, but either way, this is great!

Lake, I am in love with you!
I am so glad you took the time to read this a bit deeper than the rest. I wasn't annoyed at the fact that people thought it was amusing because i guess it kinda was hehe. But anyway you got it completely right.
The spider usually for me symbolizes darkness and the opposite of happiness. Although it's the contradiction of light and good......it wants to be happy. I mean who'd wanna be sad? hehe..
The web symbolizes life and the hard work we all do to achieve our goals and bla....but it's flimsy....weak....and it was brushed away by a human hand.
Then he falls and falls and thinks he's gonna die but doesn't....and WOAH! He's happy! He's thinkin nothing can go wrong...the worst has hit....he's at rock bottom......so he gets up...brushes the dust off and the only way he can go is UP UP UP!
But wait.....nope nope....the shoe crushes him and he dies......it did get worse.

thanks for reading deeper!

Dopey Dope is da man.  This was awsome.  When I read your title I knew that I was going to laugh reading it.  Which I did but as I read it I could see me in the spiders shoes. (DOH spiders don't have shoes).  Anyways it was great.  I would have never caught though the whole web being our life and all that we worked for though.  I'm glad you exlplained that

UhhHHHhhhHHh the feverish delirium is taking over........I didn't get the meaning at first (blame it on the flu) but once I read it again and again I think I really got it. Great job, and sowwy I didn't see this sooner!! Ciao!
