Abstract Heaven:

I'm walking on the plank of solitude.
Eyeing the looking glass of boyhood.
I mark my path amongst the rubble,
And tread on with pride of being me.

My destination is up ahead in the distance,
A sense of purity overrides all other emotion.
There's countless possibilities in getting to my light.
So I press on in diagonal motion.

Lost in my introspective while walking,
Pondering about florescent clouds and talking animals,
Smirking in sarcasm to the thought of a thought.
It's all a part of my odyssey of time.

Upon arrival, I'm greeted by masses.
"Welcome to where souls rest in peace!", said all.
And at that moment I realized
That heaven is abstract and locked in the mind.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Powerful and thought-inducing Javier ... I really enjoyed the depth in this piece, well done!

Best wishes,
