Fatherly Chat:

It seems everything has to follow a certain order.
Being different is being evil.
We're all trapped in society's circle of fun.
Live free or die?
If that was true you would have died once
You gasped for your first breath of air.

We have no times of peace,
Only times of relief from the outside world;
Living what we think is happiness
In a Mother Goose fantasy.

False knowledge leads to an undeserved ego,
While wisdom lays in the essence of the questions.
Its all become a part of this clone society we hold so dear.
Doing what everyone does for the sake of belonging.

Why be in contradiction to being?
But don't worry, you won't have to care about that now son.
Run along and play on the monkey bars while daddy thinks.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

"Why be in contradiction to being?"

There's a lot of wisdom and depth in this piece Javier. Existing to fit into society's mold is a bleak existence at that, you've expressed this well. It's nice to see when some of us can break free and fly independently!  Very nice writing!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Oh wow Javi...this one totally rocked.. It's crazy that only Kit and I have replied..I really, really liked it. Especially the last line. It closes the whole depth theme with a little simple twist. I loved that.

Yes, I agree completely. Society expects so much. Be this, act like that, stop thinking on your own... just follow. Sometimes it just seems easier to go along with the flow.
That is the worst part. I have yet to figure out who I really am, and what I really need; to do that I guess I would have to ignore the world, and try things on my own... scary.
I really like this poem, it has a lot of meaning to it.

That was trippily cool. Four words for ya bud; “THERE IS NO SPOON!”

With that said, I’m off to find some altoids…
