Child of the Shadows (Whatever)

In an upside-down garden

All my life I hid,
in the corners of the room.
Forever wanting to escape,
and fly off to the moon.
I don't want to live alone,
in the shadows of all that is.
I don't want to live off all that,
and all that never was.
I am a child of the shadows,
nothing more or nothing less.
Although you can not imagine,
I try to do my best.
I am a singer of a song,
unheard by all of you.
While you try to understand,
but there's nothing you can do.
In the corners of the world,
unseen by all but me.
There is the truth, untold,
all the lies you cannot see.
I am a child of the shadows,
something you overlook.
Whenever you loose a part of you,
you assume it's what I took.
But you never know where it went,
or how this came to be.
There is a child of the shadows,
and that child is me.

In someways this applys to Justin, and in some ways not. And it also applys to my day. Not the best,
but things were overlooked.

Don't wander throught this glassy surface, expecting to find more than me, because what I am without a purpose, but a lone mirage to see.

What a way to talk about your day, but in a poem...This was really good...

I am a child of the shadows,
nothing more or nothing less.

This makes me think about myself and things that have happened in my life...Living in the shadow of my older sister up until about 2 years ago!!!But not anymore...Keep up the good work!!!

Thanks for replying ERIN. Funny thing is is that I am the oldest child. Also that I am the youngest of all my friends though, and they make fun of me because they'll always be a few months older than me. And I make fun of them because I'll always be a few inches taller than almost all of them.

Don't wander throught this glassy surface, expecting to find more than me, because what I am without a purpose, but a lone mirage to see.
