Death just courted me
going fifty-five in a

Salma~ thaks for reading my poem I'm glad you found it interesting. you helped to inspire it. If you can write a sonet, I thought that I might break away from my three usuall styles of writing, and try a hiaku.

Erin~ don't fear death, doing so will only take from the enjoyment of our already short days here on earth. Besides, If I had to go, a car accedent is not a bad way. I've been involved in three accedents now. It's the same every time: It's all over before you even know what happened.

Lakewalker~ one of the beauties of this thing called poetry is the sentiment. i just found out that this can be done with minimal word usuage. As for this hiaku form: let's all give it up for the japanese.

Erin~ I used to be scared to get my license too. When I was in Cuba, I was learning how to drive, and an old lady witchdoctor came up to me, predicted that I was just starting to drive, and told me I shouldn't. She said that she saw an accident in my near future, and tat she feared for my life.
