The Shores of Alone

This is my idea of how a marriage or love realtionship should be. Just indulging in a little fantasy here. Someday.....

At Days End

Every day we rush about
completeing tasks, work,
errands, all about the same.
That is, until days end
when I rush home to you.
Every night is different with you.
Anything could happen.
Tonight we may laugh a lot, at our own private jokes,
kiss a little, be playful in eachothers company.
Or maybe we will sit quietly in silence, as I write and you paint.
Tomorrow, we may let the fierce passion
that is always within us,
have its way.
Maybe I will be your maid,
and you my prince.
Or maybe we will just be us,
loving with our hearts, bodies, and souls.
Friday we could go out to dinner.
Then again, we could stay home, and lick chocolate
off eachother.
Every night is an adventure.
An oasis at days end
I'm so happy to have found you
again...

Sandra...Now THAT'S the way I always thought it should be.  Every day an adventure.  It's hell when the boredom sets in...and love leaves.  Hope you find your fantasy.  Well put, as always.  Hardrock

Excellent Sandra...idyllic and sweet.  Hope it comes true for you.

Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility.

Loved your "fantasy" and do know of marriages...longlasting ones too...that are like that.  Unfortunately mine wasn't, but have come to grips with it.  I do hope your wishes come true.  Have been reading in here this afternoon and am again reminded that I am not the only one to have been hurt.  It is good for me to know that.  I appreciate the feelings shared.  Linda
