I close my eyes, and hide in darkness....

Trying to hide from the pain....

Pain of living, feeling as I do....

Pain of feeling like she wouldn't care....

If she knew the Pain I'm in....

My Pain...Her Pain, watching him slip away....

Darkness surrounds me
Cutting me off from the world....

I feel even more lonely

Even more afraid.

I open my eyes, hoping that the sunlight

Will chase away the shadows

Instead, it just makes me cry.

This is extremely intense.
You are talking about two people, maybe mum and dad, witnessing their child passing away, and the desperate emptiness that is felt at such a time? I hope you are not talking about personal experience, that would be such a tragedy!

~"I open my eyes, hoping that the sunlight Will chase away the shadows Instead, it just makes me cry",...oh my,...how very dismal. Wonderfully expressed. Be well you. *Peace.
