I'm feeling a bit more possitive the last few days. Many of you have given me encouragement to face my fears and pains. Relationships are very hard work, and this following poem I sent to "My Special Someone" whom I believe to be my soulmate. I did get to talk to her yesterday and although she has not yet forgiven me, I feel that there is still hope. The barrier that stands in our way I think is that we both have have experiences that are getting in the way of love...(anyway read on...) True Love by Me True Love escapes us though it stares us right in the face jealousy, mistrust and fear They only stand in the way What are these walls we put up to protect our hearts from pain they only serve to keep love away loneliness is the price we pay When we lose what we had we realize love was within our grasp don't let it slip away let's stop living in the past life is too short to live with regrets we must grab life with both hands only then will love last true love, true love, the best we ever had [This message has been edited by tac (edited 06-14-2000).] |

Wow! *sigh* Lucky girl!  This encapsulates so much! Yes, it is sooooo sad that many of us let our past - which ultimately leads to jealousy, mistrust and fear - get in the way of our love. I like how you have expressed your feelings in this poem. |

This is a beautiful poem tac...very heartfelt and honest...I can feel the emotions in this. What's meant to be will be and with time, understanding, faith, and effort you'll get beyond your walls. Oh and of course...with love. She has yet to find out what she holds in her hands...just make sure that you're there to guide her along the way. All of my best wishes to you both... D.E. This is a response more to your paragraph than your poem. I wish you all the strength and luck in the world getting your love back because the most important thing in the world is your soulmate. I know this. Keep hold and don't let go even if she thinks she wants to. |
