hi again.  well this is alittle differant.  this is a song that i wrote for my ex girlfriend.  i always felt safe in her arms.  now the only way i can be in them is to dream.  tell me what you think.  just a quick note the letters above the words are the chords you would play on the guitar.

IN YOUR ARMS
by: Jesse Charles Jaymz

G                        C                G
I've been on these roads for so very long,
G                        C                       D
Traveling these lonely highways untill the break of dawn,
G                  C                       G
All I wanna do is come back home to you,
G                                  D                    C     G
Cuz then I'll finaly be back where I belong,

CHORUS
                              C
And thats in your arms,
                                             G
where you can hold me, and shelter me all night,
             D
In your arms,
                                                                     C
where you can you comfort me and tell me everything will,
    D
alright,
  C                           D                           G          Em
I've been traveling with this band for to damn long,
C                              D                            G
I just can't wait to get back into your arms.

G                     C
Every song we play,
  G
Reminds me of you,
G                             C
I remember all the things we love,
       D
and what we used to do,
G                     C
all these little honkytonks,
        G
just seem to look the same,
G                                       D                   C
but this guitars haunting melodee just seems to scream
        G
your name.

                    C
I wish i was in your arms,
                                      G
where you can hold me, and shelter me all night,
             D
In your arms,
                                                                     C
where you can you comfort me and tell me everything will,
D
alright,
C                             D                             G          Em
I've been traveling with this band for to damn long,
C                             D                      G
I just can't to get back into your arms.

G                C                   G
As I lay myself down to dream,
G                           C                 D
I think about how wonderful that it would seem,
G                                 C             G
To hold you close and keep you near,
G                    D                      C   G
So I sleep to be with you my dear,
                          C
Cuz then I'll be in your arms,
                                             G
where you can hold me, and shelter me all night,
             D
In your arms,
                                                                    C
where you can you comfort me and tell me everything will,
    D
alright,
C                               D                          G           Em
I've been traveling with this band for to damn long,
C                      D                             G
I just can't to get back into your arms.

"I've been traveling with this band for too damn long"....So, big guy, decision time.  Do you stop traveling, settle down, find a stable relationship?  Or, do you find a woman who can travel and sing with you?  Or, do you find a woman who is content to sit at home while you travel?  Hmmmm...things to ponder.  Like the song...sad, but I like it.  Hardrock

Hey, I liked it too, jesse...and where there was one love, there'll be another. And the memories you built are wonderful in the future. Hang in there and keep on strumming!

there might be another person in my life.  but there will never be another love.  for i have forever closed off my heart.  wanda was the only that ever opened it.  and now she has hurt me so badly.  the walls are back up.  the once open fun loving guitar player is now a lonly wandering blues man again.  just me and my guitar forever.  thanks for liking the song.  it means alot

I printed this off for one of my friends to play....I'm sure they didn't play it the way you do, but it's sweet.   BWA.

With a little piece of tomorrow,
You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye.
Because today won't last forever,
And the past will only make you cry.

"So I sleep to be with you my dear
cuz then I'm in your arms."
Nice song Jesse, lots of good lines..true to life...lots of us are missing someone special and only have our dreams and thoughts to solice us..
I think the best way to get over someone lost is to find a new one...cause thinking about the old one is living in the past and finding a new one is living in the present and shaping a new and exciting future for our happiness...just because we failed in a past relationship doesn't mean the next one won't work..
My son that is in the army in Texas has joined a band...he is the drummer...he just bought a mic for himself and said he is going to start singing also...I was hoping he could write some of his own songs as you do...you have a talent..he told me they are recording professionally in March.
One of the great songwriters Harry Chapin put stories into songs..for example "Cat's in the Cradle" by Harry and Sandra Chapin and "Halfway to Heaven" is a good song about the temptations of life...
Check out this poem he wrote...

One Simple Question by Harry Chapin

Why, I said to myself,
with one and a half billion women in the world, more or less,
must I lie here and play night's silly
fluted tune unaccompanied?
Especiallly as I am sure that a goodly portion of that one and a half billion
are unaccompanied and humming the same quick fingered melody.

taker careful...James
