Walking along the beach
Smelling the ocean's air
Kicking the coarse sand
Dazing off into a blank stare
Listening to the seagulls
Watching the kids at play
Warming myself with the sun
Knowing I shouldnt stay
Feeling the gentle breeze
Looking at the clouds above
Touching the smooth rocks
Wanting to feel your love
Staring at the surf
Forgetting all the pain
Seeing your reflection
As it begins to rain

No person is worth your tears, and the only one that is ...... will never make you cry

Nice work.  Cool imagery.  It took me there, also.

Hi Dark Kisses,
Kept me wanting to read more.
The last lines. Very cool.

"Seing your reflection
As it begins to rain"

I love that image!"

Smiles.

This is just superb DkW!    Loved it!  And yes, *sigh*, have stared at the surf many a time...

It impelled me to write an epilogue!

"The rain beats down harder
As I stare at the surf
Then miracously you appear
On my very home turf.

Passion reflected in your eyes
As we stare each other down
The rain beating in time
Wiping away our frowns.

Loving caresses, hungry kisses
Sand and surf and rain and you
Gently keeping in time
Both knowing what is true."

Take care!

~ Tara ~

Hmm, this one makes me wonder
