She walks down the road that life has thrown
A journey she has to make all alone
Finding her way on a path she does fear
praying no obsticles will suddenly appear.

To darken the way , to make for tough choices
indecisive,apprehensive, Oh those scared voices.
That conjure up demons that she trys to fight.
Racing threw her mind, feet desperate for flight.

Till the memory of a voice stills those fanciful fears
takes her trembling  hand and draws her near.
It is the voice of a spirit,an unseen comfort in the night.
That lights her path, and calms her every  fright

Speaks to her soul though he makes not a sound
Soothes her surroundings, she feels him around
Throws away her indecisions ,stills her quickening heart
Guides her terrified steps, never to part

Suzanne, this is lovely. I would like to meet this wonderful guide, I'm still alone..
Very lyrical sound, and nice flow here.

I get a very soothing spiritual feeling out of this. A calm secure feeling. Beautiful. Ron

A very serene mood in this one. Wonderful! It hit the spot tonight!

When i first wrote this poem i did not define who the guide was. I feel that in us all there is something that guides and directs us. Maybe it is God ,your soul mate, best friend or maybe it is just you.But if you look for it in times of fear it will guide you to where you need to go.And Sandra as long as you love yourself you are never really alone.

This reminds me of some dark periods in my life when I felt like no one in this world could console me and yet it was a time I felt very close to God...and I felt his holy spirit with me, God's presence was comforting me and loving me and caring for me...a tender feeling...James

Lovely thoughts here...

everyone needs one of these I think...

sometimes the recognition comes too late or not at all - and that is a tragedy.

Good work

Like a human without illusions...
This is how the wind shifts:
Like a human, heavy and heavy,
Who does not care.

Suzanne how can you write these feelings so well.  Most readers can easily liken themselves to this character at some stage.  It is kind of inspirational too, for we all must listen for and heed the wisdom from our spirit guide.  Wise words, beautifully shared...  Thanks..
