She held my hand
As tears caressed her cheek,
I can't recall a time
Which I've seen her so weak.
The color from her lips
Once velvet and clear,
Twinged in intense pain
Quivered in fear.
Those angelic blue eyes
Piercing my soul,
Have lost their gleam
And stare bitter cold.
She tries to speak
But it's merely a whisper,
I can't understand
So I just lean down and kiss her.
That skin so soft
Now has no tone,
What am I to do
When she leaves me alone?
Running my fingers
Through her matted hair,
To let her know
Even the end I care.
This desolate bed
For months be confined,
Recalling a time when
She had such a vibrant mind.
That last night for hours
We sat silent and cried,
With one last breath she said, "I love you"
Then my angel died.

Wow now that was beautiful.  Loving someone that much is a beautiful thing and then they die!    I guess the saying is correct.... its better to love then never to have loved at all. (or however that goes)

great work my friend,

She spoke, she whispered,
Did you listen??
or did you dream of looking into
those endless eyes?
She asked only one thing... and you know the answer!

Love has no bounds of time...
nor does friendship and wisdom of the ages.
