A test of unconditional love
Would I pass or would I fail?
I had already given you
     my heart and my soul
What more proof did you need?
Were not my words, my songs, my very essence
     enough for you to know?

A test of unconditional love
You told me your heart had set sail
The words you spoke to me
     began to take their toll
You had already planted the seed
The test began, my heart the subject
     waiting for love to grow

A test of unconditional love
From the beginning I was doomed to fail
Why would you not be true
in order to reach your goal?
To your heart my heart did plead
Begging for one word from you
yearning for your heart to show

A test of unconditional love
Does there really ned to be one?
You used my heart,
                           You tore my soul,
                                               You abused my faith

But you know what?
                              I still love you. . .

I don't like tests. And I don't like games. Put the two together and it's bad news. Very power poem, sir.

So right DeVine, God I hate games, it tear  me apart  more than anything else,
Great poem Sven.

Sven, I liked this a lot, the feeling of betrayal, and the unfairness of the games, the tests. Sometimes it seems that no matter what you did, it would not be the right thing. I have been there.

Sven, such a sad poem.  Only you can express something so well with your words.  Playing mind games are very unfair I admit, but, I must confess that I do at first make men go through tests to see if they are worthy of having my heart because I've been hurt very bad before

Take care,

Strong words and emotions Sven shared wonderfully as only you can.  Some never seem to outgrow such childishness, they are the losers in the end, they miss so much.

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....
