LOVE:

Love is like an ocean's roar
A powerful drawing to the shore
Yet love is like a gentle stream
Flowing, softly, towards a dream

Love is like an eagle's wings
A soaring, lifting, heart that sings
Yet love is like a robin's breast
Quietly offering its best

Love can be a raging storm
Tearing, destroying, causing mourn
Yet love can also be the day
When sun shines and lights the way

Love can be a bitter pill
Taken once, causes chill
Yet love can be a costly potion
That causes precious life devotion

Yet all these words can not describe
Not nearly what I feel inside
Tasting your love, seeing your heart
I never want to be apart

You, receiver of a tortured soul
Prepared for all to make me whole
For in the awakening of hearts bared
Lies the realisation of an eternity shared.

very well done..how elusive the emotion of love is..how fragile..how versitile..

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

wise words!  love has so many aspects and is so strong and yet so fragile - I really related to the picture you painted so eloquently

Couldn't agree more! Love has so many facets some good and some not really but you can't really go without it and eventually the raging storm quiets down for a bit and allows the sun to shine... hhhmmm... and then is when you're truly happy. If you think about it, during our entire lifetime we're looking for those pieces and crumbs of joy, those sunny days... So tho the conclusion I'll add - great job, I liked!

This is so true love is so many things---good, bad, exciting, terrifying----but in the end it is worth it all.
