I'm looking for rainbows,
And trying to glimpse the sun,
No more storms and darkness,
I see a rainbow and I run..

I run straight towards it,
Trying to touch it's beauty and promise,
I've turned my back on life's darkness,
A rainbow is one's soul's release.

That illusive pot of gold,
Is indeed there,
But not in the material sense,
Rather as a promise waiting there.

This earthly plain is fine for some,
But I love the rainbow's magic and mystery,
And being a rainbow chaser rather than a storm chaser,
I'm on the path to setting my soul free.

God made rainbows as a sign,
That the tempest has passed,
Why not take that sign literally?
And that glimpse of darkness will be your last?

So next time you see a rainbow,
Take it as a sign intended,
To show you better things are coming,
And all problems shall soon be mended.....;.

rainbows do bring joy into my life also but you must see that the gold at the end is the key its the best part to one day find where the rainbow starts. great work even i find myself with a grinnnnnnnn.

Isis excellent writing...lots of hope in this poem..I suppose we see what we are looking for and if we look for the beauty in this world and run to it and take hold of it...it will become a part of us...James

A little light amongst the darkness is always needed!!  What a wonderful, hopeful, and positive way to look at the pain and darkness in our lives!!  Good poem!!
