The storyline in this pure fantasy but I guess the emotion's real enough.

Rosalind
Could we start again, please
wipe the slate, start anew
begin from the beginning?
For I'm frightened, ill at ease
Lonely, scared, feeling blue
And my fears are winning.

Hector
My love, my love you don't see,
pain and pleasure are entwined
and what begins with surety
becomes delusion of the mind.

Rosalind
My memories creep, silently
they overcome my logic and
beget the demon, sorrow
they shroud me in their ragged lee
and I cry out, please hold my hand
I cannot face the morrow.

Hector
The past is past, it has no power
to hurt unless you let it.
I understand your sorrow dear
But can't you just forget it.

Rosalind
Hector,  Hector if you love me,
you'll see my suffering end before
the madness takes my mind
I cannot stand insanity
I am syphilitic, soul-sick and sore
I ask you to be kind

Hector
My love, let me hold you gently
as you, child-like, sobbing weep
I'll caress your hair until
you softly, softly sleep.

Then Hector took his dagger
and stabbed her in the heart.
She gave a gasp, a tiny moan,
her essence then did part
and Hector in deep sorrow
took his own life as well,
now eternal they're together
be it heaven or  in  hell.

"It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures;
but it is the loss that shapes the image,
gathers the flowers weaves the garland."-

Wow... Kethry, that's amazing...
I loved it , how you made Rosaline's words longer and Hector shorter, it's known that women can open up more freely and man are kinda cheap in words...
And the unexpected end... it was really awesome...

This is powerful stuff here Kethry...

very moving too... of love, lunacy, crime and repentance...

great work...
I just hope that the theme and the setting is not misinterpreted...

regards,
sudhir
