Looking into the face of pain,
A bitter reflection I see.
Tears slowly falling,
Like hallow empty rain.
Where is my knight?
In his armor true.
How cruel you were,
Pretending that knight was you.

Gathering my courage,
I make a plea.
Time, oh unstopable time,
Be not my enemy.
Strength be beside me close.
Together we will conquer,
And slay this dragon of loneliness,
That threatens my very soul.
I shall stand and wave my flag,
In victory so proud.
And you, oh cruel impostor,
Will only be a memory,
Condemned to a desert cloud.

Deborah, thanks girly. I hope I do too. Trying not to look though. I figure if you don't look for love it will find you, if that makes any sense. Take care my friend, Juls

Ah, Juliet, so you have met my knight, and he is a knave to you as well..Shall we keep open to the possibilities? I know the lonliness well. Very nice poem, sad but true.
