The Dark

Flickering sparks
Sparkling dark
Darkening paths
In this labyrinth
Of abandoned hearts
Each one knocking
Sometimes stopping
Echoing away
By night
By day
Lost somewhere
In this confusion
Looking everywhere
For ultimate fusion
For the union of
Two kindred hearts
Torn apart
Before the dark

Lotharingia

Beautiful. It could almost be a description of all of us here at DP.

Uta..I could visualize all the lonely souls, wandering, searching, knocking...and hearing only the echos.  So darkly beautiful.  Love the way your mind works.  Hardrock

I agree with Hardrock. Darkly beautiful indeed! "Darkening paths in this labyrinth of abandoned hearts"....And here we are in the dark.
Great work!

So very fast and furious! Yes, you have described me well. Very nice work indeed.

Very beautiful and atmospheric one this Uta, sad too of course, but lovely. I particularly liked the first two lines:

"Flickering sparks
Sparkling dark"

mmmmm, yes, I like that a lot...

Stunning in its simplicity and beaty!  It sure does have a great message.  Linda
