a mute voice
speaks to me
an unseen tear
brushes me
but no one is near
that I can see

a foreign hand
touches me
an unheard laugh
passes me
but no one is far
that I can see

yes they do touch us in so many ways, mentally with a tear, and physically with a hand. Reaching out. telling us they are still here for us.

great and spooky.

Wow....
to me this is a beautiful, hauntingly written example of an intense interaction... great.

Hmm... a good one this!  I didn't actually take it as a "ghost".  It reminded me of things gone (and to me, that could only have been, like, 2 minutes ago - haha), which brought back all the ghosts of the past    Haunting words though

hi!

thanks for all your replies! I've actually decided to change the title of this poem to "The Visitor". Allows for more interpretations!

Ghost, Visitor, - the metaphoric context is wonderful regardless
