Sacred Serenity

Sweet moonlight, kissing cool waters,
As the lake lazily twiddles its thumbs.
Starry skies match starry eyes;
I am dreamily delighted by serenity surrounding me.
Little creatures skitter cautiously
Through overgrown undergrowth behind me.
A candy coated breeze
Giggles amongst the daisies in the grass,
And little, naughty dandelions,
Blow fluffy seeds into my eyes.
This is my sacred place, and my sacred time.
A vision in my mind.

Of course I had to vote for this!  First saw it in Corner Pub, where serenity was lurking in the shadows...smile...never forgot it.

Excellent work, I love it.

Lynne... yes I know this one, I think this one's one of the most beautiful poems you wrote. I hope your heart is just like what you described in your poem...

not through itself,
but through the creatures
